Find the seven children of the Ladybug-family hiding along the trail!
The Ladybug-Trail starts directly at the mountain station of the Illgau – St. Karl cable car. Right at the beginning, you’ll find a climbing wall that can be conquered by both young and old.
Just a few steps further lies the St. Karl forest playground, a paradise for children: pinecone racetracks, a mini cable car, a construction crane, a witch’s house with a witch trail, and much more invite you to play and relax. Two barbecue areas with drinking water stations and picnic tables provide for your comfort, with plenty of firewood available.
Using the cards (available at the valley and mountain stations), you can search for the seven children of the Ladybug-family hiding along the trail. Simply follow the painted Ladybugs on the ground.
Another attraction on the hiking trail is the bell chime – test your musical talent and try playing a tune on the various bells! The path continues across meadows to the Balmli adventure and barbecue area, which features swings, hanging ropes, and a rope bridge. Below the playground, history enthusiasts can explore the excavation site of a medieval settlement.
After a short descent, you’ll return to the valley station of the cable car in Illgau. Have you found all seven Ladybugs?
At the end of the trail, the Ladybug-Shop awaits you with souvenirs and local products.
