7th National Orienteering middle distance Axenstein

On Saturday, 28 September 2024, a middle distance orienteering event will take place in the Axenstein running area.

A national orienteering event will take place on the Axenstein map for the first time. The forest had to be reforested after the Föhn storm in 1982. The sloping terrain is interspersed with smaller and larger stones and has a number of cart fields. The terrain challenges runners both in terms of mapping, physical fitness and coordination, making it a demanding middle-distance run.

Interested hikers and walkers can register for one of the open categories (open short, open medium, open long) on the day of the race.
