Stoos-Muotatal Tourismus GmbH
The municipalities of Morschach, Muotathal and Illgau founded the Stoos-Muotatal Tourismus GmbH (SMT GmbH) in 2015. As “owners” of the GmbH the municipalities promote tourism together in the region.
The sustainable promotion of tourism and recreational offers in the Stoos-Muotatal region lies in the interest of the guests and the population. SMT GmbH sees to the professional development of the tourist regions. It is the main point of contact for tourism-related questions. Stoosbahnen AG manages the branch of SMT GmbH on a mandate basis. The branch has the following tasks:
- Information for guests and other services
- Supplier advisory and product development
- Marketing and information
- Sales and IT
- Project development of new offers and facilities
Networking The tourism and recreational committees ensure the municipalities’ connection to the tourist base. The committees are responsible of parts of the local tourist infrastructure and contribute to project ideas at SMT GmbH. SMT GmbH is funded by the visitor taxes and annual contributions of the host municipalities. The tourism region counts 750,000 day guests annually and generates 200,000 overnight stays in the same time period.
