Gasthaus Oberberg
The Gasthaus Oberberg is closed until further notice due to the closure of the business.
We are situated amidst a magnificent mountain landscape at an altitude of 1,223 metres above sea level, where alpine farms are our neighbours. From our sun terrace, our guests enjoy panoramic views of the Mythen, Rotenfluh, Fronalpstock, and the entire mountain range stretching to the Muotathal landmark, the Wasserbergfirst.
We offer a large parking area, where motorcyclists and cyclists are also warmly welcome and can enjoy the winding mountain pass road. You can also reach us in approximately 5 minutes on foot from the bus stop on Ibergereggstrasse (June–October), around 15 minutes from the upper station of the Illgau–St. Karl cable car, and approximately 15 minutes from the “Käferli Trail”, which is especially popular with children.
The magnificent Ibergeregg peat forests were honoured as the “Landscape of the Year 2019”, and we are located on the edge of this beautiful natural area.
A 4 km cross-country ski trail maintained by the Schwyz Ski Club is located directly beside us. A winter hiking trail and a snowshoe trail also lead to us or can be started from here. The Mythenregion ski area is in the immediate vicinity.
