Hölloch Beginner Tour
Who’d like to get a taste of an expedition? Then this approximately 3-hour program is just the thing. The tour is an enjoyable immersion into the silence and the vast dimensions of the Hölloch. It’s not about the distance covered, but rather the peaceful, quiet moments away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
During the tour, you spend most of your time in the developed section of the cave, which was equipped with paths and stairs by the Hölloch pioneers over 100 years ago. Visitors learn many interesting facts about the history of the Hölloch and about speleology, and experience fascinating moments—such as when the group turns off the lights to experience true darkness and see how it affects people.
In addition, there is the option to take short detours to the cave areas where the longer tours begin, to get a taste of what an expedition is like. Certified cave guides from the Swiss School for Cave Exploration Hölloch (SSH) will lead the group on this tour and explain the formation of this mysterious underground world.
