A site-specific mask dance performance at the Bettbach waterfall

“The wind brings the change that flows mercilessly through us, abrading all surfaces, stripping away old layers and skins and letting all rotten branches fall.”

W I N D is a dance performance in which a multi-faceted exploration of this invisible element is undertaken. With its fleeting movements in space, the wind is a relative of dance. It moves everything in nature and we harness its power. Wind is energy, violent and very subtle. We move with it or push against it with all our strength. The Méander Art Collective artistically explores the different qualities of wind and how they are also effective in our lives and society in a figurative sense. The performance is an interplay between dance, mask play, music, poetry and a breathtaking stage set in the midst of nature.
