Public Hölloch short tour

Here you can comfortably walk the first 700m of the cave, which was extended 100 years ago with paths and stairs. You will learn many interesting things about the history of the Hölloch and about speleology and you will gain a first impression of one of the largest cave systems in the world.
The guide will tell you a lot about the origin of the cave, the rocks, the animals living in the cave etc.; you will hear and experience for yourself how it is with the acoustics in the cave, what it is like to switch off all lights and experience effectively what darkness is; you will listen to the sounds and noises in the cave etc.

This tour is also easy to do without physical fitness, but surefootedness is required. Suitable: for families (children from approx. 6 years), couples, individuals and small groups. Larger groups can define their own preferred date and book a private guided tour. Bring: please bring warm clothes and good footwear (hiking boots are ideal, robust sneakers with good profile and non-slip sole are also ok). Unsuitable are sandals, cloth shoes, light sneakers etc.). The cave temperature is 6°C all year round. The humidity is almost 100%.
